Jim Mortram and Small Town Inertia
After reading English at Oxford and following a career as a strategy consultant, he became a professional photographer in 2013 and now focuses on wildlife photography. He’s taken pictures in 25 countries on all seven continents and won various awards including the Sunday Times/Audley Travel Big Shot competition.
He is entirely self-taught and likes to go his own way. That means animal portraits that look very sharp and action shots that capture the ‘decisive moment’, whether that’s a bear catching a salmon at Brooks Falls, or an elephant giving itself a dust bath on the bank of the Chobe River.
