We cannot leave the year 2018 without mentioning the V&A opening a fantastic photography centre this year. Acquiring photos from 1852, it’s collection is one of the largest and most important in the world and it’s free for us to visit. Based in South Kensington the V&A is a special place. Showing prints from pioneers such as William Henry Fox Talbot to contemporary photographers such as Hiroshi Sugimoto, Mark Cohen, Bill Brandt, Walker Evans, the list goes on…What a treat!

The next phase will open in 2022 and this will have a photography library and study, two flexible learning and event spaces, and a photographer’s studio and dark room.
On the website, there are lots of interesting Talks on photography, including articles on things like photographic processes.
