This month’s challenge theme is “Trip”. This could be an adventure trip – Tis the month of August or it could be understood as a trip such as an unfortunate fall but caught on the street or at a function. It could be a car trip, a bike trip, a walking trip, a business trip. It is up to you to interpret it. We are looking forward to your selection of images.

The famous book The Americans by Robert Frank changed the history of photography, there have been many photography trips taken since. Although Robert Frank’s book is a series, we want one single image that sums it all up.  Good luck and watch out for the blogpost for the Top 5 in our monthly blog post.

Tips and Inspirations:

Daniel Seth Kraus’ work combines historical research and photography. He is compelled by his interest in the legacy of one of the USA’s largest corporations, this photographer set out on a road trip to unearth the connections between a small town, a file of lost negatives, and Wal-Mart.

David Freund Gas Stop

The winner of this Challenge is Eduardo Boldrini

This image is a mixture of Henri Cartier Bresson’s “The Decisive Moment” and Arno Rafael Minkkinen. It is a great capture and indeed a Human Horizon and although it was a shot taken at haste, Eduardo has balanced the image. The man doesn’t cut through the distant land or the sea. If you didn’t know it could be a staged image and at its best, it has comical value. Well done Eduardo.
