Ted Forbes is a photographer and filmmaker best known for his YouTube channel The Art of Photography. The show provides a 360-degree view of photography education and philosophy. The show includes segments such as Photo Assignments, Photo Literature and most recently a series called Lensdays. In 2016 Forbes started producing a set of short documentaries on living photographers. Collectively known as The Artist Series, it features photographers including William Wegman, Keith Carter, Alexey Titarenko, Graciela Iturbide, Lourdes Grobet, Pedro Meyer, David Brookover and Laura Wilson.
Ted is currently featured in a video work he created detailing Ansel Adam’s printing process for the exhibition “Ansel Adams: Performing The Print” at the Phoenix Art Museum on display through June 6, 2021.
Ted also works with various clients including Hasselblad, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic and many others. Before The Art of Photography, Ted worked as the Director of Digital Media at the Dallas Museum of Art and taught as an adjunct professor at Brookhaven College in Dallas, TX.
